Our Association
The Pecan Park Civic Association is a group of concerned residents with the common goal of improving our neighborhood. Once a clean, quiet middle-class neighborhood nestled amid thousands of mature pecan trees, we've experienced a general decline after the deed restrictions were allowed to expire in 1969 and are now a neighborhood on the upswing or "in transition", which is the way the Harris County Appraisal District appraiser described our neighborhood. Our efforts now are directed towards restoring the deed restrictions, stopping and eventually reversing the infiltration of commercial businesses within our residential blocks and generally restoring the peaceful and beautiful nature of our neighborhood. |
